POA

1. Materials: edead v1se2, Teklite, masking tape, cutter, duck tape, roller, isopropyl alcholol, paper towels and beer. Should do that job :-)

2. Phase 1 - Roof - Clean roof with alcohol, dry and layer with v1se2. Seal and later with edead v4 teklite.

3. Phase 2 - Floor - Take seats out. Floor carpeting out. Take pictures of all carpet folds which are tricky. Mark wire connectors.

• Clean up surface with isopropyl alcohol > apply edead v1se2 > seal > apply edead v3 dampner > apply 2nd coat of edead v3 > let it dry.
• For firewall and passenger area > add teklite layer
• For wheel wells - add teklite

4. Phase 3- Doors - open panels carefully

• Clean up surface with isopropyl alcohol. Layer with v1se2 >> 2 layers of edead v3 >> 1 layer teklite

5. Phase 4 - FRONT SPEAKER PANEL

• Since the front speakers for the Jeep Wrangler JK 2008 Sahara are in the front (above pedals) - open speaker panel and layer speaker panel. Give importance to the back panel (behind speaker)

6. Phase 5 - Go for the trunk panels ( if possible to open)

• Layer with v1se2

7. Phase 6 - Layer license plates with v1se2

Added some teklite to the mix

Since I was covering up my roof with the edead-v1se2 material, I would have had to layer it with some matching carpeting ( home depot/ Lowe's). Found an alternative to that, slightly expensive but does the job a lot more better. eDead v4 - TekLite is a closed cell neoprene foam which I would be layering on top of the v1se2.

What I need to do ?

Well it's a Jeep. So wind noise and road noise were always going to be a factor. But they have been taken care to a large extent by the new modifications in the new Jeep JK wranger. Hardtop for one, a hoodliner ( did not know they had one in there) . But there are still many areas which need to be targeted to achieve better music, less road noise and what many people describe -- the luxury car experience.

Won't be really achieving that a 100%, but will be getting close if the job is done properly.

Found a few links to look up in case you were planning on working on your Jeep JK wrangler. Mine is a 4dr, so more sq.ft. to dampen.

Well designed website, lots of information, videos showing the actual product being installed. Talking to them using their live chat option ( on website) helped me clarify a lot of things. A in-expensive alternative. Works since their products have very comparable construction to all the good products out there.

There are also more options on eBay ( fatmat ) but not very convincing. Also someone mentioned (internet) that it's similar to Peel and Seel by MFM industries.

Please note : the reviews were writen in 2005. Edead products have changed since then. I clarified it with them by calling up edead. But the persons approcah ( to analysing the prodcuts) gave me a very good idea of what I am ( going to be ) dealing with


Well this is a start. From all I researched/ read on the internet about these products I decided to go with edead. The reasons for choosing the product

1. Like I mentioned above - comparable construction to the top of the line products. 60 mil thickness for eDead v1SE² was good enough for me.

3. With the amount of money I spend on other products ( dynamat, secondskin ) I can afford to order some teklite (eDead v4 - TekLite) for the hard top (roof). Elemental designs describes it as Closed Cell Neoprene. For me I will be applying it over a layer of v1SE2
4. Good customer service by elemental designs. Quick to answer and to the point.
   
5. Website was very informative.
6. Suited my budget. I need a lot of material for working on my Jeep 4 dr. Had it been a speaker box I would have gone the dynamat way, but the whole car---gotta look around
